Rachel Collier

I grew up in Charlottesville, attended the Charlotteville city schools and graduated from Lane High School then Piedmont Virginia Community College with major in business administration and information systems technology. Also completed certifications from Microsoft and PowerSchool University.

In 1977 my husband and I moved to Crozet. I have two sons, 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons with one more on the way in November of 2026. Over the years my husband and I were active in various groups in the community such as the fire company, Crozet PTO, Crozet Baptist Church, Peachtree baseball, WAHS football boosters and more. From the moment I walked in the door of this church in 1980 something I felt welcomed and hope that each of you feel that way every Sunday. In 2013 my husband passed due to heart issues. 



My former jobs included working retail in a department store, in a bank, a hospital and in January of 2021 I retired from Albemarle County Schools after almost 30 years of service. During that time I worked in several schools, positions from Office Administrator (elementary) to Database Administrator (high school) and finally at central office as the division Enterprise Application Specialist for PowerSchool. My job here is to manage the church database, order supplies, process invoices, and most importantly provide assistance to the members and people of the community. This is a great place to work and am blessed to be part of such a great church community!
