Teams & committees

Deacons

Deacons serve an advisory role in the organizational structure of the church. They offer appropriate and timely counsel to committees and teams, and to program and ministry leaders. 

Deacons oversee the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

Audio Visual booth

Volunteer to run the sound board, video equipment or manage the church service slide show.

Church Council

The Church Council coordinates the activities and work of the church and its organizations, and maintains the annual church calendar.

Finance Committee

They shall prepare an annual budget for submission to the church, supervise all church financial records/books of account, and make recommendations to the church concerning changes in the church budget.

Benevolence Committee

When individuals contact the church requesting assistance, the Benevolence

Committee steps in to assess the need and recommend an appropriate response.

Buildings & Grounds

They maintain all church property and equipment, supervise the purchase of capital equipment as authorized by the church, and contract for regular cleaning of the church. 

Visuals Team

Visually prepare the sanctuary each week for the congregation to

enter into a spirit of worship

Greeter Team

These warm and welcoming folk work hard to make everyone feel at home on Sunday mornings.

Personnel Committee

This committee makes recommendations for staffing requirements, performs annual staff reviews, and promotes healthy church-staff relationships. 



Nominating Committee

This committee shall submit to the church at the spring business meeting nominations for all officers, teachers, and members of standing committees. 

Eldercare Team

A deacon-led team that assists and advocates for elder members of the church family.



Missions Team

The Missions Team identifies and coordinates opportunities for CBC to serve our community and bear witness to Jesus in the world.
